The work featured is primarily Chinese traditional mottos and ancient poetry. Lewis showed his understanding of Chinese culture with a reading of Du Fu's (Chinese poet, AD 712-770) Delighting in Rain on a Spring Night. He said that he hopes this exhibition will be an opportunity to further strengthen Yale University and Shanghai Jiaotong University's multi-disciplinary partnerships, and deepen the teachers' and students' understanding of Chinese and American culture.
