Visitors from Taiwan learn about Ningxia

About 30 young people from Taiwan and some media workers visited the Ningxia Hui autonomous region recently to learn about its history and culture. [Photos by Xue Rui and Feng Xiaoyun/For chinadaily.com.cn]

"The society and economy here have experienced a drastic change, and they work very hard for the future of the following generations, which touched me," said Chu Tien-chi.

The group also visited a film and television base, rice paddies and night markets.

The tour began on Sunday and will end on Saturday after covering major cities in the region, including Yinchuan, Shizuishan and Wuzhong.
