When intl cyclists meet Chinese chess masters

Six Chinese chess (xiangqi) grandmasters and 10 cyclists from teams from France, Latvia, New Zealand, Russia and other countries gathered together at the Nanxiang Old Street in Shanghai's Jiading district on Sept 18.
The grandmasters experienced the latest bicycle technology, while the cyclists learned about the history and rules of xiangqi, and engaged in a challenge with a Chinese chess robot. In addition, all athletes experienced Xuhang straw weaving, a national intangible cultural heritage, and learned to make xiaolongbao, a type of steamed bun. The Tour of Shanghai New Cities cycling race and the 4th Shanghai Xiangqi Master Open are set to be held in Jiading district on Sept 18 to 22.
