Fujian Coast Guard conduct patrols around Jinmen island
The Fujian Coast Guard on Tuesday conducted routine law enforcement patrols in the waters near Jinmen, a spokesperson for the China Coast Guard said.
Jinmen is an island administered by Taiwan located near the Chinese mainland coast.
Zhu Anqing, a spokesperson for the CCG's East China Sea Bureau, said in a news release that since January, the Fujian Coast Guard has organized fleets to continuously strengthen law enforcement patrols around the waters near Jinmen, further enhancing the control over the relevant sea areas.
These patrols effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests, as well as the lives and property, of Chinese fishermen, including those from Taiwan and ensure the normal navigation and operational order in the waters between Xiamen and Jinmen, the spokesperson said.
