Eric Foster, nephew of renowned journalist Helen Foster Snow, spoke to China Daily at Peking University during the International Communication Symposium – In Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of Victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War on Saturday.
While expressing disbelief that some in Japan still deny the reality of the Nanjing Massacre, Foster emphasized that people should learn from history to prevent the repetition of past disasters. He welcomed the fact that today's China is stronger than ever, meaning aggression against it will never happen again.
