Moreover, the exchange program is part of a broader initiative that has been developing for four years.

The "Eagle City" initiative, launched in 2022 by the Chongqing Luhai International Communication Foundation, capitalizes on Chongqing's strategic location in the raptor migration corridor to promote raptor monitoring, research, rescue, and public education. To date, it has partnered with over 120 environmental organizations in more than 40 countries, involving over 20,000 young participants globally.
