New rules for food imports

Starting in June, China will implement new regulations on the registration of overseas manufacturers exporting food to China, the General Administration of Customs has announced. The GAC will determine the list of food imports requiring such registration, the list of food imports not subject to automatic renewal of registration, and the scope of overseas food storage enterprises that should register, according to the updated regulations.

Consumer products expo from April 13-18

The sixth China International Consumer Products Expo is scheduled to take place in Haikou, capital city of South China's Hainan province, from April 13 to 18. Jointly hosted by China's Ministry of Commerce and the Hainan provincial government, the expo marks the first edition of the event since the Hainan Free Trade Port fully launched island-wide special customs operations.
