China's defense chief begins 6-day visit to Russia and Kyrgyzstan

Chinese Minister of National Defense Dong Jun will pay official visits to Russia and Kyrgyzstan from Thursday to Tuesday, at the invitation of the two countries, the Chinese Ministry of National Defense announced on Thursday.
During the six-day trip, Dong will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) defense ministers' meeting in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
At the meeting, the defense minister is expected to deliver a speech and hold bilateral meetings with heads of relevant delegations. Discussions will center on the current international and regional situations, as well as deepening defense and security cooperation.
