Huangshan's fish lantern tradition captivates Russian influencer

Angelika Romanovskaia from Russia was captivated by Zhanqi fish lanterns during her visit this week to Shexian county, Huangshan, East China's Anhui province.
Romanovskaia is among a group of international influencers currently touring Anhui. In Zhanqi village, she tried her hand at the traditional fish lantern-making process and participated in a lantern dance.
She was surprised by the actual size of the fish lanterns used, describing it as "hard yet gorgeous", and called for increased efforts to preserve the cultural heritage, which has a history of over 800 years.
