A drone transports a sapling at a park in Lanzhou, Northwest China's Gansu province, April 27, 2026. Over the past few days, several drones shuttle back and forth over more than 2,300 mu (about 153 hectares) of barren hills here to accurately lift saplings and efficiently assist afforestation operations. The local natural resources and planning bureau said that compared with the traditional manual operation, the drones were more suitable for the complex terrain, safer and more time-saving for transporting saplings.
