Pakistani Scholars Join Global AI and Sustainability Forum

 

Pakistani researchers and scholars participated in an international forum held at the Jiangsu Talent Port Mansion in Nanjing, alongside experts from China, the United Kingdom, France, Russia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. The event focused on artificial intelligence and global sustainability.

Focus on AI-Driven Green Development

The CRID International Symposium & Experts Forum on Information Technology and Environmental Science explored how AI can support climate action and green transformation. Participants discussed integrating technology with environmental science to address global sustainability challenges.

Pakistani Researchers Present Climate Insights

Engr. Muhammad Waqas from the University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar presented research on compound climate risk. He highlighted increasing climate challenges in Peshawar due to heat and moisture interaction, which is intensifying extreme weather patterns.

Moreover, Ms Ruqia Khaliq Dad Akbar from Southeast University in Nanjing shared research on linguistics and semantics. Her work focuses on linking language structure with cultural meaning and potential AI-based communication systems.

Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support

The forum also introduced the SCO Youth Entrepreneurship Incubator under the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation framework. The initiative aims to support young innovators from member countries, including Pakistan.

In addition, a new global research collaboration platform was launched to strengthen academic exchange and innovation networks across countries.

The event highlighted how Pakistani researchers are increasingly contributing to global discussions on climate change and artificial intelligence. In addition, international platforms are helping them access advanced research tools and collaborative opportunities.
