Tony Ho, chairman of global liquid product packaging equipment supplier Newamstar, said that Chinese packaging equipment manufacturers are accelerating their digital transformation and intelligent upgrading, evolving from single-equipment suppliers into system-integration solution providers with international competitiveness.

Citing the successful performance of Newamstar at Interpack 2026, a seven-day event that ended on May 13 in Dusseldorf, Germany, Ho stressed that the intelligent manufacturing solutions of Chinese enterprises attending the show drew widespread attention.

During the show, Newamstar's booth received inquiries from business visitors from Europe, Asia and the Americas, with multiple international clients expressing that Chinese enterprises' technical capabilities in intelligent manufacturing and system integration were impressive.

Ho noted that Newamstar, which exports to over 80 countries and regions worldwide and ranks first in domestic market share, now provides system integration solutions ranging from single machines to complete intelligent factory processes.

At the exhibition, the company showcased its intelligent factory comprehensive solutions integrating digital twin and artificial intelligence algorithms, echoing the event's core theme of "intelligent manufacturing".

Interpack, a most influential professional exhibitions in the packaging industry in the world held once every three years, attracted 2,670 exhibitors globally and over 170,000 professional visitors during this edition.

Industry insiders noted that the "AI + Manufacturing" special action implementation opinion — recently jointly issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and seven other departments — has enhanced the deep integration of AI technology into manufacturing, propelling Chinese packaging equipment manufacturers to persist in scientific and technological self-reliance.

It has been learned that by relying on robust infrastructure, a complete industrial system, and massive data resources, Chinese enterprises not only compete alongside international leading brands at professional international exhibitions such as Interpack, but also demonstrate their technological leadership capabilities in cutting-edge fields.

"These are vivid examples of Chinese intelligent manufacturing achieving high-quality development through cultivating new quality productive forces," Ho said, adding that innovation is becoming a shining business card of high-quality development of Chinese enterprises in the new era.

Within the 250,000-square-meter exhibition space, Interpack 2026 showcased the digital transformation and green innovation achievements of the packaging industry. Newamstar exhibited in Hall 13, alongside industry-leading international companies such as Germany's Krones, France's Sidel, and Germany's KHS, with its "dark factory" intelligent manufacturing solution drawing widespread attention.
