US business leaders see positive momentum in China-US cooperation
US business leaders said the successful meeting between Chinese and US leaders has created fresh momentum for bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
Michael Miebach, CEO of Mastercard and a member of the US business delegation accompanying US President Donald Trump on his state visit to China, said: "We're encouraged by the positive momentum following yesterday's discussions."
"For businesses, a stable and open environment is essential, and continued engagement helps build confidence and supports growth," Miebach said.
"China has always been one of the world's most dynamic markets, with strong long-term potential."
He added that Mastercard remains committed to China over the long term by continuing to invest, deepen local partnerships, and bring products and services that support businesses, consumers and the broader economy.
The US executives spoke positively about the atmosphere surrounding the China-US talks in Beijing.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang described the meeting as "incredible".
They expressed hope that the two countries will enhance dialogue and communication, expand mutual interests and achieve shared prosperity.
