The Ministry of Commerce yesterday held the sixth training on the European Union's Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals regulation, which takes effect today. The regulation requires companies that make or import over 1 ton of chemical substances a year must register the substances with EU authorities. The new policy covers over 30,000 kinds of chemical substances, so it will have a huge impact on China's exports of petroleum and chemical products as well as textiles, electronics, toys, and automobiles.
