Military industrial companies to start shareholding reform

The State Council has approved guidelines to promote shareholding reform in military industrial enterprises.

The purpose of the reform is to establish new types of military industrial enterprises with modern enterprise system and multi-investment resources.

The guidelines stipulate that key defense enterprises concerning national strategic safety should remain totally State-owned. Foreign capital is allowed for some military industrial enterprises under certain conditions.
