SOFIA -- The Bulgarian government on Wednesday approved an agreement with China on cooperation in information technologies and communications.

The agreement was signed in June by the Bulgarian Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski, and the Chinese Minister of Industry and Information Technology Miao Wei.

According to the Government Information Service, the agreement covered the priority areas where the two countries would cooperate, including broadband technologies, e-government, information security, joint research projects and software industry.
