Danube river floods in Europe

Two Romanians in a makeshift boat pass flooded
houses by Danube river in Fetesti, 150 km (93 miles) east of Bucharest, Romania,
April 17, 2006. The Danube peaked at record highs in Serbia on Monday without
overwhelming flood defences, but authorities warned there was still danger
waterlogged dykes could collapse and wreak havoc across southeastern Europe.
