18m yuan sci-tech products reach Tibet

New vehicles donated by the
Ministry of Agriculture leave the Potala Palace Square in Lhasa for villages
across Tibet on August 7, 2006. The Ministry of Agriculture has offered
donations worth 18 million yuan (2.3 million US dollars) including vehicles,
computers, TV sets, and books, in an effort to improve working conditions for
sci-tech staff in rural areas in Tibet Autonomous Region. [Xinhua]
