Pingyao International Photography Festival

Dancers perform during the opening ceremony of the 2007 China Pingyaop International Photography Festival (PIP) held in Pingyao County of North China's Shanxi Province, Sept. 19, 2007. More than 300 photographers from 47 countries and regions and 20 curators of photography attended the event which lasts from Sept. 19 to 25. The theme of this year is "Cooperation & Win-Win". Over 10,000 photos will be displayed. The ancient city of Pingyao was listed as one of the World Cultural Heritage by the UNESCO in 1997 and it has always been the host city of the PIP since the PIP was founded in 2001. [Xinhua]
