A photo shows the fascinating spectacle of Yellow Dragon Cave (Huang long Cave) in Zhangjiajie, Central China's Hunan Province. Yellow Dragon Cave has been honored as "magical karst cave both in China and in the world". It covers an area of 48 hectares and is 15 kilometers long. The cave system has a vertical rise of 140 meters. The inner recess is divided into four layers, two dry ones and two possessing waterways. Its natural wonders include natural reservoir, underground rivers, pools, waterfalls, grand halls, passageways and hundreds of thousands of stalagmites, columns and stalactites. [newsphoto] |
