COPENHAGEN: Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met with leaders from the Maldives, Bangladesh, Sudan, Ethiopia and Grenada in Copenhagen Thursday.

"African countries, small island countries and the least developed countries are faced with the most difficulties and obstacles in tackling climate change problems," Wen said. "They should get enough support in finance and technology from the international community."

Wen also said that China is willing to give support for those countries under the framework of "South-South Cooperation."

Chinese President Hu Jintao also made similar remarks during the UN Climate Change Summit held earlier in New York, urging more support and attention for those countries.
