Man gifts friend stolen items as token of thanks

A resident of Foshan, Guangdong province, received stolen bankcards, ID cards and cash from a friend as a token of thanks for all the help he offered while the latter was faced with difficult times.
Liang has handed over the stolen items to the police, who have launched an investigation.
Liang said his friend gave them these items, saying, "He wanted to thank me for helping him when he was going through a rough patch.
"He told me he and his accomplices had robbed a woman driving a BMW recently."
