Google may pull out of China

Google may shut down its business operations in China and close the search engine it started four years ago, David Drummond, Google’s chief legal officer, wrote in a statement.

The statement also said Google plans to hold discussions with the Chinese government in the next few weeks to determine if it can operate Google.cn search engine within Chinese law.
