Police: Thanks but no thanks for the help

A 64-year-old man in Shanghai's Baoshan district has been voluntarily helping traffic police every evening at a crossing near his residential community.
Zha Zhongren, 64, lives near an intersection which suffers from traffic jams every evening and is the site of occasional accidents.
When Zha appeared and tried to keep order, many people admired and praised his efforts while others said that Zha had no right to direct traffic.
Traffic police in the district thanked the old man but did not advocate that others imitate him.
