BEIJING - The leaders of China's non-communist political organizations have pledged to support the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) after studying a speech delivered by CPC General Secretary Hu Jintao on July 1, also known as the 90th founding anniversary of the Party.

Non-communist party leaders hailed the CPC and vowed to follow the Party wholeheartedly.

Hu's keynote speech was a retrospective summary of the Party's experiences over the last 90 years. The speech clarified the tasks and goals that the Party must complete in modern times, according to the non-communist party leaders.

China has eight non-communist parties with a combined total of 840,000 members.

Non-communist political organizations have long been regarded by the CPC as political partners under the Party's "united front" policy, and have played an important role in Chinese politics. The CPC has been the country's only ruling party since 1949.
