BEIJING - Peking Opera master, Mei Baojiu hoped the government would promote the traditional art form to children through modern commutation technology.

Cartoons, stories, and micro-blogging are effective ways to expose children to Peking Opera. Mei Baojiu, who is also a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, told China Daily, “This would contribute to their exposure to traditional Chinese culture.”

Mei Baojiu is the youngest son and successor of late Peking Opera master Mei Lanfang.
