Zhang Yi elected Ningxia Party chief
Zhang Yi was elected secretary of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Regional Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on June 10.
The election was held at the first plenary session of the 11th Ningxia Hui Autonomous Regional Committee of the CPC.
Zhang, born in August 1950, joined the CPC in February 1972.
He had served as deputy secretary of the CPC provincial committees in Northeast China's Heilongjiang and North China's Hebei provinces.
He became deputy secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection in October 2007.
Zhang was appointed party chief of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in July 2010.
