Niu Jiawei is 19 and expects to be promoted to hair stylist soon, realizing her dream three years after coming to Beijing to learn hairdressing. She says she is now used to being away from her parents and has adapted well to the fast pace of life in the big city. Niu will be on duty during the Labor Day break, but will have 2 days off at a later date. She says that she treasures the opportunity to learn and her parents are very supportive.
