Survey probes slack officials

(chinadaily.com.cn) Updated: 2014-06-12 17:44

An online survey was launched by China's anti-graft watchdog on Thursday to look into slackness and malpractice by officials in their work.

Internet users are invited to answer six questions on government officials’ work and practices. The questions have been released on the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China.

One of the questions, for example, asks whether the Party and government officials are slack in discipline. Respondents can select one answer from four options — "serious", "acceptable", "not serious" and "difficult to say".

The survey, which is scheduled to last for a week, is aimed at taking a closer look at malpractice by officials and at cracking down on slackness in the public sector, the commission said.
