The international conference titled "Green Urbanization — Innovation and Practice" was held in Nanjing, East China's Jiangsu province, on Friday.

Zhou Lan, director of Jiangsu Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, said that the province is willing to communicate and cooperate with organizations and experts from overseas to promote clean energy, the development of a low-carbon city as well as energy-saving in architecture and traffic.

According to her, Jiangsu is the province that has the largest number of energy-saving buildings in China.

Experts from many international organizations and leading universities, including the New City Foundation, the International Society of City and Regional Planners and Nanjing University, also attended the meeting.
