The world's largest luxury cruise operator Royal Caribbean International Ltd, and the Palace Museum have announced an agreement to promote traditional Chinese culture on board.

Experts from the museum also will give lectures and the museum's cultural products will be displayed, according to the deal unveiled on Tuesday.

Royal Caribbean also plans to invite experts from the museum to make suggestions as to its cruises' decorations.

The cooperation will initially be carried out on Ovation of the Sea, the US-based cruise operator's newest vessel due to launch in April, and the arrangement will gradually expand to the operator's global fleet.
