'Folk Forbidden City' severely damaged in super typhoon

The ancient folk residence Honglincuo is severely damaged by rainstorms and flooding brought by super typhoon Nepartak in Minqing county, East China's Fujian province, July 11, 2016. Construction on Honglincuo, nestled near the Yanxi River in the county's Bandong town, started in 1795 and finished in 1823. Used by Huang family for generations, it covers 17,000 square meters, and was once the largest and most well-preserved folk residence in China, known as "the Folk Forbidden City".
