The world's first mobile phone app for teaching taichi, i taichi, or "Love Taichi" in Chinese, has been launched in a bid to help the traditional Chinese martial arts further go overseas.
With Taichi master Chen Zhenglei from Central China's Henan province as chief advisor, the app will promote taichi in Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean languages.
The teaching will also be presented with the help of new technologies such as augmented reality and virtual reality.
The app is expected to give a boost to the promotion of Chen-style taichi, with Chen Zhenglei as its 11th generation successor.
Chen Zhenglei has set up more than 100 venues in 50 countries and regions to teach Chen-style taichi and promote taichi culture.
