Introduction: The novel tells the story of a pig named Wilbur and his friendship with a barn spider named Charlotte. Hearing that Wilbur is faced with being slaughtered by the farmer, Charlotte tries to convey messages praising Wilbur in her web in order to persuade the farmer to let him live. Written in a humorous tone, Charlotte's Web is considered as a classic of children's literature.
