EMC launches 3rd China COE site in Chengdu

EMC Corporation announced the opening of its new EMC China Center of Excellence (COE) site in the Chengdu High-tech Zone on Tuesday, adding to two similar R&D and services facilities which have been operating in Shanghai and Beijing.

The new Chengdu COE facility is part of EMC's continued expansion and commitment to the China market.

At the same time, EMC China's West China Headquarters will now be relocated to the Chengdu High-tech Zone with the aim of better serving the Southwestern and Northwestern China markets.

"The new China COE site in Chengdu adds strength to the already high talented R&D team in China, and it underscores the importance of innovation for EMC's longer term growth in China," says Dr. Ying Li, EMC Vice President and General Manager of EMC China COE.

EMC is a key provider of cloud computing technology. The company was ranked 2nd in World's Most Admired Companies in Computer Industry 2011.
