Thai House to be dissolved on May 10

BANGKOK -- The King has endorsed House dissolution decree and that the general election is set on July 3, government spokesman Panitan Wattanayagorn said on Monday evening.

The decree on House dissolution will take effect May 10.

State-run TV station, Channel 11, is scheduled to broadcast a 15-minute special program by Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, announcing the House dissolution and election at 8: 30 pm local time, Ongart Klampaiboon, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister' s Office said on Monday.
