Spanish actress Penelope Cruz believes she was born to be an actress because she has been throwing diva fits since she was a child.

Cruz confessed that she was temperamental and troublesome as a child and used to throw regular tantrums, contactmusic.com reports.

'My mother always tried to not laugh in front of me. I was the most difficult - stubborn and very rebellious. I didn't want to be told what to do. I still do the kicking once in a while,' she said.

Cruz had been romantically involved with superstar Tom Cruise and is now rumoured to be dating Spanish actor Javier Bardem.
