LOS ANGELES? – Roadside Attractions has acquired U.S. rights to "Hemingway's Garden of Eden," a feature adaptation of Ernest Hemingway's final, posthumously published novel. The indie distributor will release it in theaters December 10.

Mena Suvari, Jack Huston, Caterina Murino, Richard E. Grant, Matthew Modine and Carmen Maura star in the Jazz Age, erotically-charged romance. The story follows a successful American writer (Huston) and his beautiful wife (Suvari) on an extended European honeymoon as she becomes restless in the relationship and draws an Italian girl (Murino) into their lives.

John Irvin directed from an adaptation written by former Paris Review editor James Scott Linville. The novel, titled "The Garden of Eden," was published in 1986, a quarter-century after Hemingway's suicide.

Roadside Attractions' recent releases include "The Cove," "Winter's Bone" and "The Joneses." The company will also release "I Love You Phillip Morris" and "Biutiful" in December.
