The 2011 "Orchid Pavilion" International Academic Seminar recently presented calligraphy works, paintings and documents based on the Orchid Pavilion to more than 60 Chinese and foreign scholars at the Palace Museum in Beijing.

The first four sessions were devoted to calligraphy. The fifth focused on painting; the sixth was mainly about documentation; and the seventh and eighth were about rubbings.

Palace Museum vice-curator Chen Lihua hosted the opening ceremony on Oct 29.
