A New York chef has created what is believed to be the first $1,000 bagel, adding white truffle cream cheese and goji berry infused Riesling jelly with golden leaves on top of the city's staple, as shown in this photograph taken by the hotel The Westin New York at Times Square in Manhattan this month.
The bagel is the creation of chef Frank Tujague of The Westin New York hotel and was designed in part to help raise funds for Les Amis d'Escoffier Scholarship, which provides scholarships to students of the culinary arts.
