As a central task of industrial transformation and upgrading, 2,718 projects with a total investment of 1.9 trillion yuan have been pushed forward in 2014, according to the Shanxi Economic and Information Commission.
With emphasis on developing new industries and improving people's well-being, the projects involve information technology, power-saving and energy-saving technologies, technology innovation, and comprehensive utilization of resources.
This year, the commission will do their best to complete 1,300 projects worth 150 billion yuan by extending policy support, expanding financing channels, and enhancing project management.
Through the construction of industrial transformation and upgrading projects, Shanxi can strengthen the core competitiveness of its key industries, enterprises, promote the steady growth of its industrial economy and build a new industrial system.
