The Beijing College Student Film Festival set up its first provincial sub-venue in Shanxi province. The press conference of the sub-venue was held in Communication University of Shanxi on April 11.
The organizer will unveil the Shanxi sub-venue of the 22nd Beijing College Student Film Festival on April 20. From then on, it will organize a series of activities in the province's universities, such as the college student short film contest, original play contest, film showcases and film music festival.
An initiative to collect original films or short films, plays and photography works set in Shanxi is a highlight of the film event's sub-venue. It appeals the young to present Shanxi culture and Shanxi stories through their lens or words, and to focus on their hometown.
The Beijing College Student Film Festival is influential among college audiences. Ning Hao, a famous director from Shanxi province, made his name through this festival. The Shanxi sub-venue offers college students in the province an opportunity to join in this film event.
