Shanghe Guzi Yangge is staged at the open ceremony of the Shandong intangible cultural heritage celebration month in Jinan on Jan 18. The dance, accompanied by a small drum similar to a tambourine, is popular in Shandong's rural areas of Shanghe and Huimin. It was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2006.
