Comment on "Safety check urged for school buses" (China Daily, Nov 18)

The authorities should do more than just try to prevent vehicles from overloading in rural areas, because overloading is rampant in even cities. For example, most of the buses in cities are overloaded, forcing many people to stand.

It seems overloading has become a way of life in the transport sector, and the authorities have not done enough to solve the problem.
