9 - Nine (Jiǔ)
Number 9 was considered auspicious because the pronunciation is similar to 久 (Jiǔ) which means "long-lasting". In ancient times, the Emperor's outfit was often decorated with nine dragons that symbolized "balance" or "harmony".
