I work for the police (although not as a uniformed officer) and they don't have a problem with tattoos. At my workplace we have a lot of high-ranking officers with tattoos, some on their wrists so they can't hide them under their uniform. They told me in the beginning I'll never get a job as I'm tattooed, and the police do not hire anybody with tattoos, but obviously it's not true.
