Although the entertainment industry in the US generally has a broader tolerance for recreational drug use than other fields and illicit drug use is tolerated so long as it doesn't interfere with production, once some celebrity is caught taking drugs, their public imaged is stained. The anchors in some talk show often criticize even satirize those stars who use illegal substance.
