Guangdong adopts medicine, food industry self-disciplinary standards

Standards of self-disciplinary management and social responsibility of pharmaceutical and food industries in Guangdong province became effective on Thursday.
Formulated by the provincial associations of the two sectors and approved by the provincial quality watchdog, it is meant to help build a credibility system and fight against corruption.
Third-party organizations will be employed to assess the implementation of the standards, which will first be applied to some of the association members.
