Houseware, leisure fair to kick off in SW China

The three-day Chengdu Houseware, Leisure Goods and Gifts Fair will kick off in Chengdu, Southwest China's Sichuan province, on Friday.

Sponsored by the Reed Huabao Exhibitions in Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong province, and the Chengdu Branch of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Chengdu Exhibition Bureau, the fair will draw 650 exhibitors from home and abroad in an exhibiton space of 16,000 square meters in the Century Town New Exhibition and Convention Center in southern Chengdu.

Local companies in Sichuan will occupy the most conspicuous place in the fair, according to organizers.

With an exhibiton space of more than 100 square meters, they will showcase the time-honored Shu Brocade and paintings made of silver threads.
