Chengdu Museum of Contemporary Art opens

Visitors to the Chengdu High-tech Zone in southern Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan province, are given a pleasant surprise, for they can find something cultural in the newly-opened Chengdu Museum of Contemporary Art in the economic zone.

The museum, which opened last Friday in the zone's Chengdu Tianfu Software Park, showcases artworks of different times, styles and regions in the country.

In addition to exhibitions, the museum will hold a series of interactive activities and educational programs on a regular basis to get visitors involved, said curator Lu Peng.
